Q: What is the best way to poison someone? Be specific.

A: We took this question to some of our best and brightest minds in R&D.
Unfortunately, they were too busy discussing which 80s TV show they'd remake if they were King of Hollywood. So here are the answers we ended up with:
The obvious method:
By using a poisonous substance.

The rules-lawyer method:
Charm person the target, hand him a bag of daggers and a jar of poison. Ask him to apply the poison to each dagger. Eventually, he will roll that 5% chance and accidentally poison himself.

The high-school-angsty method:
Tell someone that you love them, but you’re not in love with them.

And finally, the cynical method:
The best way to poison someone is also the best way to do most other things: profit from it. To do that, you need a poison that’s weak, fun, and addictive. That way you can hook the victim with the addictive fun, and they won’t die off too fast. Tobacco and alcohol both fit this bill.

A: Many forces and beings in the Realms are more powerful than Elminster. All of the gods and many of their servants (for example: in pure spellhurling power, The Simbul, Elminster's lover and fellow Chosen, outstrips the Old Mage).

Q: I have a question about earth elementals. Nowhere in any description does it say that earth elementals have tremorsense, or any other ability for that matter, that lets them detect their surroundings without vision. My question is then how do earth elementals navigate around the using their earth glide ability, especially on the Elemental Plane of Earth, if they have no discernible way to navigate?

A: This is a very good question, and certainly a mystery for our time. I’d rather like to think that they wander through the morass of their own plane like so many blind fish swimming in a pond. However, since we’ve no way to tell, and the earth elementals simply aren’t talking, it is nearly impossible to say.

Q: Trivia time: D&D's monks were once part of what monastic order?
Answer:
According to the old D&DSupplment II: Blackmoor, which featured an early version of the monk, the class was fully listed as: "Monks (Order of Monastic Martial Arts), a sub-class of Clerics which also combines the general attributes of Thief and Fighting Man."

我认为比较合适的翻译是：Monk是Cleric的一个亚种，这个亚种兼有贼和战士的特性。
To Aland : “而是作为牧师亚种的同时还顺便兼有贼和战的特点......”，貌似把“兼有贼和战的特点”和“牧师亚种”分离了。

定语从句, 先是sub class of clerics, 然后才是从句里的那些.
真正翻过来就是"monk是cleric的亚种,这个亚种也兼有贼和战士的特性"
就一个"也"字的区别, 但是文章就大了.

Monks和a subclass of clerics 是同位语关系，可以认为从句是同时修饰它们，而不是先后关系

修饰是一回事,但是主体和非主体又是另外一回事,不要忽略了also的影响.
